Frida and Diego is an island Beach House that contrasts expansive views of Rich Passage and Mt. Rainier, with enclosed views of an interior secret garden. The home is organized within a square plan. Within the square are two rectangular "boxes" that separate the void space of the garden. A glass hallway bisects the garden, connecting the two interior volumes. The waterward box contains social functions and the primary bedroom, while the landward volume contains the entry, guest suite, and garage. Resting on each box, at opposing corners, are light filled creative spaces dubbed Frida and Diego. The studios open to sunny roof terraces and roof top gardens.
